The Manna Project
“One can transcend the ordinary with just one moment of intentional action.”
What It’s All About
Living Jewishly believes the most meaningful forms of Tzedakah (the Hebrew word for philanthropy and charity) includes contributions of time, effort, and insight. And because the numbers of Canadians impacted by food insecurity is staggering, Living Jewishly created the Manna Project to help address this challenge. Watch the video on the right to see it in action!
Introducing Manna #mitzvahminutes
#mitzvahminutes are mini, hands are on projects designed to highlight how little time it takes to make a difference in the life of someone in need. Our projects are high value yet uncomplicated, empathy enhancing and developed with the end recipient in mind.
Manna #mitzvahminute opportunities:
Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
At Bar/Bat Mitzvahs as a meaningful new way to affirm your child’s role as a recognized member of our community. And, what better way to honour your guests than with an opportunity to join you and your family in a simple act of generosity. We take care of all the details and best of all, our #mitzvahminutes are designed to fit seamlessly at your event.
In The Classroom
In the classroom to build empathy, learn about social justice, and share in a ‘giving’ group activity. We provide you with an age appropriate project and an engaging teaching module. Our Manna #mitzvahminute projects vary in scope and can be accomplished in as little as 2 hours from start to finish.
At Work
At work as a team building engagement experience with impact. Nothing unites a group of people to a shared cause than a communal act of generosity.
