About the Event
Bobby Koven is a stand up comedian and mental health advocate who just realized he’s Krazy (www. krazyafteralltheseyears.com) Rabbi Yossi has been part of Bobby’s BAST (Bob’s Amazing Support Team) since 2002 and continues to support him deal with the many different challenges of having mental health challenges.
Over 200 people registered for this event and Rabbi Yossi and Bob Koven were touched by the many wonderful comments they received during the hour and a half program. Here are just a few of those comments:

Robert “Bobby” Koven is a seasoned entrepreneur, but he has a secret. He’s crazy, with a “K”, and being Krazy in a conservative business community could be considered a liability, but the ever-resourceful Bob Koven turned “Krazy” into an asset. With a reputation for being creative and enterprising, he has developed an eclectic community network and has become an energetic advocate for mental health awareness.
Diagnosed in his early twenties with Tourette’s Syndrome, he now looks back on his past behavior with a new perspective. Using his unique brand of humour and drawing on his life experience for his jokes and stories, Bobby reaches out to diverse audiences with a message of hope for those individuals and families afflicted with mental health challenges while also working to erase the stigmas surrounding mental health issues. Dispelling the myths, smashing the misconceptions, and challenging the prejudices surrounding mental health, Bobby delivers a hard-hitting message: there is no magic bullet, simply hard work and lots of practice, and he ought to know. Bobby is the Executive Producer of the documentary No Magic Bullet.
