Welcome to the month for dreamers. The cozy month of Kislev is the Hebrew month for dream work. The Kabbalistic understanding of the month associates it with the sense of “sleep”, and its deeper dimension, which is dreams. Even the Torah portions for this month are full of stories about dreamers – Jacob, Joseph…

To welcome this month, we invite you onto your Yoga mat, for our monthly session with Jenna Zadaka Yoga @breathandsoul_jenna, who weaves Jewish teachings about the spirituality of this time, with Yoga Asana practice – combining mind, soul and body.

This is a time to ask ourselves, to connect to our inner light that we have always dreamed about bringing into the world? The root of Kislev is “Kesel” meaning trust. This yoga practice is an opportunity to reach a deep trusting state so that you can be a vessel for miraculous. It’s apt that near the end of the month, we welcome the holiday of Channukah – a time of darkness, light, and miracles. When we release fear and resistance, our trusting body opens us to infinite possibilities. You are welcome as you are, no prior experience necessary. Optional yoga props – 2 blocks. Chodesh Tov! Hope this is a month with gentle and beautiful dreamscapes and waking realities.
